A herd of sheep on mountain heals -
and sheep clouds hovering above
A thorn-like plant sways with the wind -
nearby a tent like golden glove
In all directions one might look -
there's only send that can be seen
And as the wind takes on and blows -
the send starts off like ballerina
The high skies here when morning comes -
does not start anywhere nor end
And shepherd's flute which echoes far -
makes Arabic and Hebrew blend

A world is born -
complete and whole
And all the rest from shore to shore -
is made by man, and man alone

A path of sheep walk on steep slopes -
and milky ways glow far above
With countless wadies standing still -
eternal mountains all around
While camels move about hot sand -
the big bear shines on top the world
And at the far edge of all things -
a sleepy moon that seems so bold
The silver skies of evenings here -
don't start nor end for eyes to see
And in the dark a jackal moans -
in Arabic and Hebrew key

A star now falls -
and midnight calls
While Ishmael and Isaac pray -
and ask their god with eyes that's closed
